RMEC 2025 Gathering – Easy Does It in the Big Easy

Get ready to “laissez les bon temps rouler” as the 2025 Recovery Ministries of the Episcopal Church gathers in the Garden District of New Orleans for "Easy Does It in the Big Easy" from May 7-10! For four days, we’ll worship, share, laugh, and connect with friends old and new, all with that laid-back NOLA rhythm. Think powerful speakers, honest conversations, soulful worship, and plenty of time to soak up the spirit of the city—whether that’s over a cup of chicory coffee, a plate of beignets, or a long walk under the oaks. Recovery, community, and a little bit of jazz. Let The Good Times Roll!!
Registration fee : $125 Includes all sessions, Keynote speakers, Recovery worship, fellowship, snacks, and lunch 5/8, 5/9, and box lunch 5/10.
Optional event: Thursday 5/8 – Jazz Dinner Cruise ($98)

Keynote Speaker:
The Rev. Dr. Monteic Sizer
The Rev. Dr. Monteic A. Sizer is the founding President and CEO of the Judah Lion Group and Strategies International. Dr. Sizer served as Executive Director of the Northeast Delta Human Services Authority, a twelve-parish regional behavioral health, addiction, prevention, and developmental disability agency.
Dr. Sizer is a thoughtful leader, consultant, and nationally recognized keynote speaker. His driving passion is to help God's people fulfill and live out purpose. Dr. Sizer's authentic, passionate, and highly energetic messages have inspired, challenged, and moved to action audiences from across the country. Dr. Sizer's firm belief is that God has given each of us gifts and talents to be used for God's glory and the betterment of others.
Lance Armstrong – Recovery Keynote
Lance Armstrong is a Louisiana native and cradle Episcopalian. He began his recovery journey in October 1994 in Raleigh NC. After returning home to Louisiana in 1999, Lance began a 17-year association with the diocesan Addictions Recovery Ministry serving as a member of the Commission as well as Convener for several years. He has led several recovery retreats. In addition, Lance is a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Visitor and a Lay Healing Minister in the Episcopal Church. Upon retiring Lance and his wife Linda returned to North Carolina where he continues to work in the AA recovery community and to lead an annual Recovery Sunday service at his home parish of St. Paul’s in Smithfield, NC.
